A geoscience company built on careers
GeoDataExplo is a French SAS founded in 2017. It is the outcome of a team’s path: decades of experience with major oil companies and service companies, brought together in a small structure.

What experience changes
Geoscience data ages badly when nobody can read it any more: seismic tapes from another generation, paper sections, heterogeneous document bases, uncertain georeferencing. The people behind GeoDataExplo worked on this data when it was produced, then again when it had to be recovered.
That continuity explains the company’s scope: data management, geophysical processing and reprocessing, geology and reservoir studies, laboratory, GIS, field operations, storage and training form a single chain, from data to decision.
A small structure, a complete chain
The company states that it works across the whole exploration chain. In practice, one contact can follow a data legacy from inventory to the study that exploits it, then to the field when operations begin.
Reservoir studies are carried out with specialist partners when the subject requires it; those collaborations are presented as such.
Who GeoDataExplo works for
GeoDataExplo works for four kinds of organisations, across three markets declared to the Geo-Energy Europe metacluster: upstream oil and gas, deep geothermal and geological storage.
- Oil companies
- National hydrocarbon companies
- Geoscience organisations
- Universities
Partners mentioned
GeoDataExplo works with Absolute Imaging, Geonumeric and MPS.
